Don’t Take the Supernatural Lightly
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 “10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord…”
As halloween is back during this time of the year, many go to costume parties, watch scary movies, let their kids join trick or treat and stuff like that. This is not to say that being involved in these things is totally wrong, but this is a warning about taking the supernatural world lightly because the passage in Deuteronomy says explicitly how God feels about such things. The supernatural isn’t cute, fun or anything like that, at least as seen in the passage.
So, as halloween is here again, let us rethink how we should be involved with things going on around us.
